Kids wetsuits are available in a wide variety of styles, designs and colours. The wetsuits was once only
associated with extreme water sports such as surfing, scuba diving, but now they have become standard beachwear for
all. These outfits are accepted with both kids and their parents. Adults like wetsuits for their protection from
the cold and the additional safety features of wetsuits. The children like the kids wetsuit, because they look like
"cool" surfing wetsuits and pro water sport athletes.
As well as a fashion icon on the beach, a guard against the chilly waters, kids wetsuits are a great supplementary
floatation device. While they will never replace a personal flotation device or lifejacket they help stay afloat a
bit easier. Of course children should always be supervised near the water.
Some children’s wetsuits even have built in floatation areas to help make it even more buoyant. Although floaties
are still popular, these new wetsuits provide a great deal of kid friendly comfort that appeal to both parent and
child. The built in floatation wetsuits are also good in rough surf as they won’t come off like some floaties
do.
A kids wetsuit can keep your child warm on the windy beach, even if they don’t go in the water that often. They
even have baby’s wetsuits available today. Even if the weather conditions are warm, spending a long time in the
water can become cold for children as the water saps the heat from the body. A kids wetsuit is a good investment if
your child loves the water.
Today’s wetsuits are a lot more user friendly with better zippers and fasteners to work. They are easier
and quicker to put on and take off, handy if the kids want to go to the toilet every twenty minutes.
Beaches pose a number of marine life threats to bare skinned kids, like jelly fish. The sting of certain types of
jelly fish can be an unbearable pain and in some cases life threatening. A short lengthened wetsuit will at least
protect the torso from the stings. A full length suit is great protection from jelly fish, with only the hands,
face and feet exposed to the elements.
A kids wetsuit also guards against coral cuts and scratches, as they can easily become affected. Thanks to
children's wetsuits, these dangers are decreased significantly due to the protective layers of material. The
neoprene material can also cushion a little bit of bumping from heavy surf or a collision other body boarders or
surfers.
From baby suits to full sized body kids wetsuits, there are lots of different designs to choose from. With all the
added bonuses of a kids wetsuit, it is hard to get in the water without one.
