Mens Wetsuit

Before your next diving expedition, do you have the right mens wetsuit? It’s always critical to
secure the appropriate gear before you go scuba-diving, surfing or snorkelling. But how do you know when you’ve
found the right mens wetsuit?
Here are some tips to make it happen:
1. Do your homework on the wetsuit
This is crucial before buying a mens wetsuit. While the process should include reading diving magazines and surfing
the Net, it shouldn’t end there. Also get advice from expert divers about which wetsuit brands they use, and the
best online or brick-and-mortar stores to buy them at.
However, always take the advice that expert divers give you, with a grain of salt. Oftentimes their preferences
will be mostly a matter of personal preference, so the “best” brands they recommend might not be particularly be
the best ones for you.
2. Remember the style
You might be surprised at the variety of wetsuit styles that are available. Some important components to consider
when choosing one are the seams, neoprene (synthetic rubber), and zippers. Also consider the amount of stretch a
suit has. It’s crucial that you’re 100% satisfied with the wetsuit, since you’ll be the one wearing it. So take the
time to think about which components would suit you the best.
3. Buy your wetsuit at an offline store
Wetsuits must fit perfectly to maximize their effectiveness, and you simply can’t find the perfect fit without
trying them on. However, be ready for a workout! Wetsuits are designed to keep you warm underwater—not in a
scuba-diving shop. So clear up your morning, afternoon, or early evening schedule when shopping for one. It’s
likely that you’ll need to get in and out of several pairs before choosing one. So make sure to hydrate between
each wetsuit, to keep up your stamina.
4. Choose the right thickness
It’s always better to choose a mens wetsuit that’s thicker than what you’ll likely need. Typically, here are the
thicknesses that suit (pun intended) different temperature ranges:
• Over 85º F: 2 mm
• 70-85 º F: 3 mm
• 55-70 º F: 6 mm
Keep in mind that we humans lose a significant amount of our body heat through our heads. So if you’re planning to
dive in water ranging from cool to cold, definitely consider a wetsuit that has a hood.
5. Invest in a pair of kneepads
This will help to safeguard your knees while you crawl on various surfaces, such as rocks. Wetsuits don’t grow on
trees, so avoid needing to replace one because you damaged the knees during your diving exploration.
6. Consider buying a used wetsuit
While you can get a great deal on used wetsuits, make sure to examine it carefully before buying them. In
particular, check for rips and cracks. Also, when hunting for a double-lined suit, examine the neoprene to ensure
that it’s relatively intact.
When buying a mens wetsuit, the options can seem overwhelming at first. Help to pinpoint the best one for you, by
keeping these tips in mind. It will help to make your choice as crystal clear as the water that surrounds you
during a perfect underwater adventure.
